From Open Electrical
I'd like to contribute an article, how can I do that?
Great - contributions are most welcome!! There are two ways to contribute:
- 1) Get in touch with us and tell us a bit about yourself and what you'd like to contribute. We will then set you up with a basic member account to edit and add new articles.
- 2) Send us a message with the content of the article you'd like to submit and a short bio about yourself. We will format the article and post it on the site, along with your bio.
What can I contribute?
You can contribute pretty much anything you want on electrical power engineering, as long as it doesn't infringe any copyright restrictions.
Have a look at the Open Electrical roadmap to get a sense of where we'd like Open Electrical to go in the future and whether there is a topic or project you'd be interested in contributing to. Of course, we're always open to new ideas and you can suggest new projects and future directions for the wiki.
What do I get for contributing?
You mainly just get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that you are helping out other electrical engineers. You can also have your name and a short bio listed in the About page.
So it's not that "open" after all, is it?
Open Electrical isn't open in the sense that anyone can edit content anonymously (e.g. Wikipedia), but it is open in the sense that the information is free and not hidden behind paywalls.
